WHEN WILL WE BE IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD?
Saturday, October 18 was a beautiful fall day for a country fair! All on hand enjoyed the events at My Dog Loves Central Park Country Fair in Central Park. Toby Project volunteers, along with founder Dr. Andrew Kaplan, spent the afternoon informing pet lovers about NYC's pet overpopulation problem and how they can help eliminate it.
Toby Project founder Dr. Andrew Kaplan appeared on THE MARTHA STEWART SHOW on Friday, October 3. He demonstrated how medical technology is being used in veterinary care as a preventative tool.
On Saturday, July 12, The Toby Project participated in BROADWAY BARKS, a star-studded adopt-a-thon benefitting NYC's animal shelters and adoption agencies. For more about the event, go to broadwaybarks.com
People are noticing The Toby Project. In June, The Manhattan User's Guide introduced us to their readers and on July 5, the NY Daily News talked of our participation in Broadway Barks.
On June 19th, The Toby Project kicked off our current campaign with an event held at the home of Joy and Jack Fishman. Dr. Andrew Kaplan spoke about his vision of a city without a pet overpopulation problem and called on New Yorkers to take action by supporting The Toby Project. It was a great evening and a big success -- and brings us closer to our goal of getting our first spay/neuter van on the road.

Under the direction of Dr. Kaplan, City Veterinary Care provides a 75% discount to more than 30 recognized rescue organizations. These designated organizations receive approximately 24 appointments each week. The care given serves to prepare rescued dogs and cats for adoption by resolving health problems and performing spay/neuter surgeries.
Educating New Yorkers about this crisis from cause to solution is an integral part of The Toby Project mission. Contact us at goldstein@tobyproject.org to arrange for a The Toby Project representative to speak to your group. Brochures are also available for your distribution. We are currently raising funds for our first mobile veterinary clinic.
The unfortunate fact is that the fate of these particular animals is sealed, but you can be the hope behind preventing future generations from ending up in those same cages. We ask that you think of these animals awaiting almost certain death in the shelter – scared, alone and frightened. Please give the gift that will make the difference – join in our mission and help us in building a better future for all of New York City’s animals. Please donate.
