Under the direction of Dr. Kaplan, City Veterinary Care provides a 75% discount to more than 30 recognized rescue organizations. These designated organizations receive approximately 24 appointments each week. The care given serves to prepare rescued dogs and cats for adoption by resolving health problems and performing spay/neuter surgeries.
The next step is to address the fundamental cause of the pet overpopulation crisis. A team of veterinarians and related professionals will bring free spay/neuter services to all five boroughs of New York City, targeting those communities that surrender the most animals to municipal shelters each year.
